About us

Revd Craig Holmes
Craig has been vicar since October 2010, and feels privileged to lead such a godly, gifted and enthusiastic church.  He had a previous life as an atmospheric scientist (studying London's methane emissions) before training to be ordained, although any comments about him still being full of hot air are untrue

Craig loves running, gadgets, motorbikes and his wife Becky and children Florence and Zach, though not necessarily in that order.

Children & Family Outreach Worker

Emma Hughes
Emma loves to encourage members of our church and community as they develop relationships and grow in faith.  She heads up our CY (Children & Youth) team and is involved in running lots of other activities including our Holiday Clubs, Y Courses, Christianity Explored & Messy Church.
She once welcomed our church warden to an Open House meeting by locking him in the porch.  We think it was a one-off

John Baggs
John leads and preaches at both our 9am Holy Communion & 10.45 Morning Worship services.  He's a committed member of our leadership team, and leads one of our weekly Open House groups as well as making regular pastoral visits and leading funerals.

John enjoys skiing but medical assistance should always be prepared in advance - he has a habit of being used as target practice for less experienced skiers.

Brenda Small
Brenda leads and preaches regularly at our 9am Holy Communion services and is very involved in work with our Friends group, Lunch Club & pastoral visits.  She is dedicated, supportive and has a mischievous sense of humour.

Brenda loves music but finds singing a challenge, which sometimes makes leading funeral services quite interesting.

Director of Music

Paul Hughes
Paul is our musical director and worship leader, playing the organ at our 9am Holy Communion services and leading the band at our 10.45 Morning Worship services, as well as occasional leading and speaking.
He is blessed by being an exceptional piano player, teacher, writer and arranger - although we would never tell him that of course...

Commissioned Lay Minister
Katie Byard

Katie is a Churchwarden and Commissioned Lay Minister, and occasionally leads and preaches at the 10.45 Morning Worship Service. Katie loves the chance to meet and draw alongside people and is wholly committed to supporting people to grow in relationships with one another and with God.

In her day job Katie's a child clinical psychologist and she loves gardening, 80's music and tea and cake with friends.
